A concrete swimming pool is essentially a giant water tank designed to look decorative. The waterproofing system underneath the tiles has to hold back 20–100 tonnes of water 24 hours a day, resist chlorine chemistry, tolerate thermal cycling, and stay bonded for decades. Any failure results in water tracking through the shell into surrounding structure — damaging pool decks, adjacent walls, and the pool itself.
Types of Pool Waterproofing We Install
New-Build Pool
Applied to the concrete shell before tile installation. Cementitious crystalline waterproofing on the shell, followed by two-coat polyurethane liquid membrane, then tile adhesive and tiling. Life of the pool.
Pool Renovation / Re-lining
For existing pools losing water. Tiles and failed waterproofing removed. New system installed. Re-tiled. 20–25 year design life.
Localised Crack Repair
For pools with specific cracks. Chase and treat, fleece-reinforce, re-tile the affected area.
Ornamental Water Features and Spas
Fountains, koi ponds, hot tubs. Same technology, sized to fit smaller assemblies.
